Heart Care
From education and prevention to diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation, we offer comprehensive heart care services and prevention programs to help lower your risk other disease.
We are honored to be affiliated with the Cleveland Clinic’s Sydell and Arnold Miller Family Heart & Vascular Institute. Our affiliation with the Cleveland Clinic allows for streamed line access to the policies, procedures, protocols, and care delivered in Cleveland, cementing CHRISTUS St. Michael as the continued market leader of cardiovascular services in the Texarkana and surrounding offices. Whether you are in need of a stress test, cardiac calcium scoring, cardiac catheterization, or open heart surgery, our dedicated medical team is here to help you obtain the quality care you need, close to family.
Our Heart Care Team includes Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified RNs. St Michael Rehab Texarkana Post-surgical care is provided in our Coronary Care Unit, Cacrdiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) and/or Progressive Care Unit (PCU) depending upon the patient’s needs.
Cardiac Rehabilitation is ideal for those who hahadced a heart attack, have had heart surgery, havpossessedad a heart-related procedure such as a cardiac stent or angioplasty, chest pain or congestive heart failure.
It is designed to help patients recover from their heart procedure, increase their physical activity, and providteachingon and counseling to assist the patients reduce their cardiac risks.
Our Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation Teams are comprised of a number of healthcare professionals including a physician, nurse, exercise physiologist, respiratory therapist and a dietitian. Finding out that you have cancer is overwhelming. Our cancer team works with you to plan a personalized course of treatment. We are here to help you beat cancer and offer advanced, comprehensive cancer care that is close to home and focused on healing the whole person, not just the cancer.
As the only fully accredited cancer program in the region, you acateredded with an individualized admissions process, experienced and dedicated oncology social workers, a resource library, and supportive services that treat you as a wholindividualon.
